Marma Chikitsa for Effective Relief from Kidney Stones

Kidney stone is a very common disorder, associated with modern living, largely owing to our lifestyle practices. Apart from the dietary practices, the reasons include inadequate intake of water to keep the body hydrated and suppression of the natural urge to urinate to keep up with ‘correct’ behaviours. This so much so that today every 10 persons out of 100 suffer from this excruciatingly painful disorder in one form or the other. Painful urination apart, back pain and even vomiting are associated with this malady.

Modern medicine does not offer a permanent cure for this condition, merely pushing patients to a cycle of surgery with the stones or renal calculi recurring after each surgical intervention.

AYUR MATAM Ayurveda Hospital Marmacharya Dr Manu B Menon demonstrates in this video how you can secure a permanent relief by activating Five Marma or Vital energy points which are grouped as Shakti Adangals. He also advises all partake nearly a litre of warm water each day morning on empty stomach after the activation of the marmas. If your condition is severe and advances, please come to AYUR MATAM Ayurveda Health Village for a complete complement of treatment comprising Marma/Ayurveda therapies and natural Ayurveda medications.

Marma Activation for Bell’s Palsy or Facial Paralysis

Facial Paralysis or Bell’s Palsy disfigures the face and leads to many problems including speech impairment is caused by impairments in the nerves leading to sensitive organs such as the eyes and ears. Exposure to sudden extremes of cold climate without your ears and face covered can trigger the condition. Generally such distortions to the face clear after a week or six weeks, and in some cases six months. But, there are many who leave the condition unattended and do not recover even after a year or more.

In this video AYUR MATAM Ayurved Health Village Marmacharya Dr Manu B Menon demonstrates how you can recover completely within 11 to 21 days after suffering from Bell’s Palsy by activating 8 marma points in your face, hands and shoulder.

AYUR MATAM Marmacharya Dr Manu B Menon shares Home Remedy & Marma Tips for Ulcers

Ulcers occur in different parts of the human body such as the tongue, mouth, throat, legs and even stomach, and many a time these ulcers push us to acute stages in health. And at the mere mention of ulcers, modern biomedicine doctors push you to surgery as the sole option. But, the reality is that there are cures in Ayurveda and Marma Chikitsa for ulcers, without you having to undergo the risks and expenditure of hospitalization or an operation. This ancient medicinal science holds that ulcers manifest owing to the neglect of maladies in the digestion process, the large and small intestines. Modern lifestyle practices such as partaking of chilly laden food and untimely food habits contribute to the formation of ulcers which initially manifest as gastric issues, burning sensation in the stomach, stomach bulge, and lack of hunger et al.

Apart from diet modifications, there is an easy home remedy to manage ulcers, says Dr Manu. Take a portion of a coconut that is tender, remove the fruit, and crush it for its milk. Mix the juice (tender water) of Toddy Palm fruit with and drink. “Do this everyday morning for 10 days, and I assure you the best results,” says the Marmacharya.

Dr Manu suggests that those with acute ulcers also follow the marma tips demonstrated in the video here for permanent relief: Reach the marma points located three fingers inward (toward navel) from the bottom of your rib cage on both sides of the body, and activate it by rotating three fingers over it to mild pressure, for three counts, both clockwise and anti-clockwise.

Ayur Matam Marma Chikitsa
for Varicose Veins

It is veins in the human body that carry impure blood to the heart for purification and enable purified blood to energize your body through arteries. When this process is impaired and blood flows to the heart is not proper, you develop varicose veins meaning veins that are enlarged, swollen or twisted owing to the accumulation of impure flood which is not flowing to the heart as it should. Any superficial vein may become varicose. But the veins most commonly affected are those in your legs. That’s because standing and walking upright increases the pressure in the veins of your lower body.

When varicose veins develop, they turn the veins dark bluish/purple, leading to severe pain, swellings, burning sensation and difficulty in walking. This disorder is seen largely among those who sit or stand for long hours such as teachers, policemen, those in animal husbandry and agriculture, and in certain types of industries. Though seen both among women and men, women generally develop the condition during pregnancy due to excess production of Estrogen hormones and during menopause owing to low count of Progesterone hormone, apart from that fact they spend long hours standing in the kitchen. Obesity also contributes to the genesis of varicose veins.

In this video, Marmacharya Dr Manu B Menon warns you against neglecting the condition; as such neglect can lead to amputation of the limb. In Ayurveda, the condition is treated through jalouka avacharana, meaning bloodletting of impure blood using leeches. Though this process is a highly effective non-surgical method, the treatment has to be repeated from time to time as it is not a one-stop solution.

On the other hand, Marma Chikitsa through its therapeutic processes reverses the condition, enabling normal blood flows by re-directing the impure blood back to the heart for the purification process. Dr Manu asserts that a 16 day therapeutic Marma treatment regime combined with appropriate Ayurveda medications will ensure complete recovery, without any side effects, with appropriate 2 months rest and activation of vital energy points thereafter.

Marma Chikitsa for Frozen Shoulders

A common disorder associated with modern-day lifestyle is disorders to the shoulders, commonly described as Frozen Shoulder. Herein shoulders go number and stiff, when you hurt a vital marma near the cervical, meaning the neck, caused by compression of the disc and nerves. First, you feel your hand movements being restricted during the freezing stages with associated pain. This then is followed, if left unattended, by a frozen stage when you are unable to lift the hand at all. And finally by the tarring stage, when you lose complete control of the hand. Slowly, it spreads to the other hand, brain and later, to other parts of the body owing to the impaired blood circulation and oxygenation. More prone to this condition at those who are Diabetic, suffer Cardiovascular conditions, Thyroid and TB.

English medicine just advocates pain killers and later surgery with no assured outcome. The best remedy for the condition lies in Marma Chiktsa with reversal of the condition through manipulation of marmas and associated therapeutic interventions and natural medications explain Marmacharya Dr Manu B Menon in this video.

Take care of your Spine and stay young

If you are careless about your spine (ie the backbone), your life virtually becomes a spineless one, with ills and disorders plaguing you. In this video, AYUR MATAM Marmacharya Dr Manu B Menon explains how your spine truly is the centre of your healthy existence.

During the days of the yore, walking was a way of life. The 32 vertebrae comprising the spine was strong and along with the muscles attached to it and providing the correct pathway for the web of nerves weaving in and out through it ensuring proper blood circulation and oxygenation from head to toe.

But, the modern sedentary lifestyle revolving around lack of exercise, vehicular travel, bad diet and addiction to electronic gadgets, is an anathema. The cervical (neck region affecting head and hands), thoracic (the middle portion of the back) and lumbar (the lower regions from the hips, pelvic also affecting the legs) segments of the spine are severely stressed, leading to disc bulge (ruptures in the soft gel between the cartilages) and consequent compression of the nerves flowing around it. Dr Menon explains the various disorders that you develop owing to the negligence of the spine.

When there is impairment in the cervical region, affecting the bone density and blood circulation, it manifests in the form of neck pain; restricted neck rotation; cervical spondylosis; frozen shoulder – inhibition in free movement of shoulders, muscle wasting, loss of sensation; eye, ear and speech disorders; parkinsonism; headaches and discomforts of varying degrees; memory loss and uncontrollable anger owing to shrinking of the brain; breathing impairment when cervical 5 & 6 are affected; and stroke and other nervous disorders. To cite a modern example causing cervical impairment: When a person uses a smartphone spending long hours with a neck being bent forward, it is akin to putting more than 25 kgs of pressure every moment on the cervical bone structure. This is even true of the bad postures children indulge in while studying.

Impairment in the thoracic region constricts blood circulation in the organs constituting the lungs and stomach regions causing respiratory disorders, digestive maladies and related afflictions. Nerve root compression and disc bulge in the lumbar region causes Sciatica – pain and walking disabilities owing to limited blood flows to a nerve of the same name that runs from hip to the toes; knee pain such as Osteoarthritis; Lumbar Spondylosis; Varicose vein; different infirmities of the legs; Diabetic Neuropathy; Sexual disorders; and Low back pains.

Good care of the spine, instead of symptomatic treatments, in essence, slows the ageing process as it also reduces chances of disorders such as blocks, heart issues, gout and such others also.

Please visit AYUR MATAM and undergo spine care external and internal treatments offered by our marma expert therapists and doctors, which last anywhere between 1 day to 14 days, depending on your body type and condition.
